FCODE Vaktet Privacy Policy

FCODE Vaktet is a Chrome extension developed by FCODE Design. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension accesses, how that information is used and how user privacy is protected.

1. Information We Access

FCODE Vaktet may access the following information solely to provide its prayer-time New Tab functionality:

Selected country, city, municipality, coordinates and timezone used to retrieve accurate prayer times.
User preferences such as language, theme, background, calculation method, notification settings, adhan settings, shortcut preferences and card position.
A list of frequently visited websites provided by Chrome's Top Sites API, when used to display shortcuts on the New Tab page.
Website favicons associated with those shortcuts.

2. Information Stored Locally

Extension preferences and cached prayer-time information are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage APIs.

FCODE Vaktet does not require you to create an account.

3. External Services

FCODE Vaktet communicates with third-party services when necessary to provide prayer times, location search, timezone information and accurate internet time.

The extension may communicate with:

AlAdhan API — prayer-time calculations.
Open-Meteo Geocoding API — city and location search.
TimeAPI.io — internet time synchronization.
UTCtime.app — backup internet time service.
Datetimes.today — backup internet time service.
WorldTimeAPI — backup internet time service.

Information required for these requests, such as a selected location, coordinates, timezone or requested date, may be sent directly to these services. Their handling of information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

4. Browsing Information

When the shortcut feature is enabled, FCODE Vaktet uses Chrome's Top Sites API to display frequently visited websites on the New Tab page. This information is used only for local display inside the extension.

FCODE Vaktet does not transmit browsing history or the Top Sites list to FCODE servers.

5. Favicons

FCODE Vaktet uses Chrome's favicon functionality to display website icons beside frequently visited website shortcuts. These icons are used only for visual presentation inside the extension.

6. Notifications and Adhan

FCODE Vaktet may use Chrome notifications to display optional prayer reminders. The extension may also use an offscreen document to play optional adhan audio in the background. You can enable or disable these features at any time.

7. Data We Do Not Collect

FCODE Vaktet does not collect:

Names
Email addresses
Passwords
Authentication credentials
Payment information
Health information
Personal communications

FCODE Vaktet does not sell personal information or use user data for advertising, creditworthiness, profiling or unrelated purposes.

8. Data Sharing

FCODE Vaktet does not sell or transfer user data to third parties for advertising or marketing. Data is shared with external API providers only when required to perform the extension's prayer-time, location-search, timezone or time-synchronization functionality.

9. Data Retention

Your preferences and cached data remain stored locally in Chrome until they are changed, cleared or the extension is removed. FCODE does not maintain a separate server-side database containing extension preferences or browsing history.

10. User Control

You can change your location, calculation method, notifications, adhan, theme, language, backgrounds and other preferences directly from the extension.

You can remove locally stored extension data by clearing the extension's storage or uninstalling FCODE Vaktet.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated if FCODE Vaktet adds, removes or changes features or third-party services. The latest version will always be available on this page.
